I understand why people get angry about the way some local media outlets frame some things. But my Lord Chicago is so lucky to have a dozen?? independent media outlets covering the city. Many cities have none, or one staffed by like 1.5 people plus freelancers making pennies. An excellent problem!

The @chicagoreader.com is and has been consistently excellent. I really hope that they get the resources they need to continue for 50 more years. Why are rich progressives not funding local independent media? This piece is excellent and would only be written by a local outlet.
