DnD 5.5 took Regeneration away from vampires, including Strahd! It was an interesting surprise while researching our recent podcast episode about vampires.

Real-world mythology for dealing with vampires is wild, and you should use that in your DnD games. If no one tells you that you need to bury Strahd with a brick in his mouth, you’re missing out.

Cyberpunk: Red offers three options for character creation depending on how much customization you want. If you go for “the full package,” it’s a very detailed point system. At the other end, you’ll have a full character in about 5 minutes that’s slightly more customized than a pregen.

We’re getting Dark Sun for DnD 5.5! I’ve been saying it would happen in 2026 for over a year, and a lot of people told me WotC couldn’t make it work. The release won’t be until 2027, unfortunately, but I’m counting it as a win.

A weirdly large part of our podcast involves content that makes one of us uncomfortable and/or being teased by chat. It’s a weird dynamic, but it’s all in good fun.

Cyberpunk: RED puts a lot of emphasis on the day-to-day lived experience of characters in a dystopian future. The real-world horrors of survival are crushing, the rent is too damn high, and living in a rented storage container is considered decent accommodations.

The beginning of our actual play segment of Cyberpunk: Red! We’ve been promised the horrors of technology and capitalism run amok, and we’re leaning in hard!

Countering your player’s abilities in every single DnD encounter isn’t fun for anyone. Making players struggle occasionally is a fun challenge, but a counter in absolutely every encounter just makes players feel unwelcome. We need better challenges than “you don’t get to succeed because I said so.”
