Dad, lawyer for marginalized kids, former veteran public defender, Hartford City Councilman (one of five WFP-only electeds nationwide!), musician, artist, professor; opinions my own; "CT Dems aren't socialist enough for this clown."

Watching a prescription drug ad at the doctor's office where a couple takes their kid to a baseball game (sound is off, so I don't know what the drug is), and because it's an ad, they all have generic hats and jerseys and root excitedly for a fake team, and as a Mets fan, I find it relatable.

Remember the perfume ad (White Diamonds) where the dudes are playing poker or whatever, and foggy-lens Elizabeth Taylor gives a dude her diamond earrings and says, "These have always brought me luck"? I still wonder what that transaction was communicating to consumers about the fragrance.

When I signed in at the doctor's office, the lady asked my name, looked me up in the computer, confirmed the appointment time, and then said, "Are you here for a procedure or a test?" YOU DON'T KNOW?!

A lady at the doctor's office was just complaining that she's been here an hour. The receptionist said, "Well, you weren't supposed to get here at 7:00." The lady said, "MyChart said to arrive by 7:00." The receptionist said, "Well, that's MyChart." Like, what are we doing here?

I love how a young, extremely progressive, Muslim candidate beat an establishment Dem. in a hotly contested primary bursting with outside money, and some takes are like, "His margin was slimmer than expected."

I really am at my happiest when I'm prepping witnesses for a contempt trial against the Department of Children and Families. Subpoena the Commissioner? Don't mind if I do. I want them to know that EVERY TIME they move a foster child client of mine without telling me, we'll have a ten-witness trial.

Every 39 seconds, my work computer makes the sound of a USB device connecting and then disconnecting. On Friday I asked the IT people to help with this. They ended up doing a bunch of updates and my computer was going to be unavailable for an hour, so I went home. Now, the sound remains.

Took the six-year-old up to Western Mass. to visit her two big siblings, who are both working at a summer camp. After a day in Northampton, we were driving out of town and went past a park where there was some kind of festival with a DJ and...

Something snapped inside me and now I'm calling 311 on out-of-town business owners who obstruct sidewalks EVERY TIME. I'm gonna be a fucking menace when the snow starts.

Five years ago, a friend sold me a minibus that was gonna be my band's new bus, but unbeknownst to either of us, it had frame damage. So I sold it, with full disclosure and cheaply, to some folks from Philly. I let them keep the plates and told them I'd cancel the registration in a couple days...

The thing that was good about the train schedule board with the audible flipping sound is that you didn't have to look up quite as often to see if your track got posted yet.
