writer. if you don't like my peaches, don't shake my tree. writing Machine Sympathy with @sarenstone.com our cool book! - shop.machinelotus.com i/h: @sarenstone.com

I tried to warn you when you were a child I told you not to get lost in the wild I sent you omens and all kinds of signs I taught you melodies, poems and rhymes (oh, you fool, there are rules i am coming for you you can run, but you can't be saved)

my character adra dressed as a bride, bound by ribbons and flowers

& i think it's actually important to remember that for the most part the people you interact with online casually, whether in a negative or positive sense, are strangers to you. if you don't speak to them directly then you will always lack essential context for any post they make

damn not only stalking my account but misinterpreting my posts too 😭 never believe someone who brays about quitting and yet still keeps comin back like a bad penny lol

I agree with this, I see it in students, who are terrified of being critical of texts, because they "don't want to be mean" which can lead to them trying to give the benefit of the doubt to some truly awful historical authors, ideas and texts

Theory: The context collapse of the 21st century means many people read or consume media through a deeply personalised lens - everything is either about or for them specifically, so critical writing is experienced as confrontation

i really enjoyed having meridian play the NPC role in my short D&D module; he works well as the scary guy who doesn't talk a lot and is just there to handle business lol

my wife and i have an agreed upon rule which is 'do not beef with a child' and i'm at risk of violating this rule every time i open up a team game

truly the fastest way to get negative reputation with adra is to dismiss their fear and anxiety over their brother & treat the situation as no big deal

aurelius is as beloved to me as my other characters but he is legitimately an OP villain so he only occasionally emerges from his enclosure

not that I ever planned to do anything with the knights beyond sketchbook doodles, but in general telling a creator about your idea for their story or characters is the best way to make sure it will never happen lol (same goes for like Marvel or other public IP writers/characters too btw)

see, the thing is everything folks make up about these guys is stuff I won't/can't touch anymore for copyright reasons so in a way people spoiled it for themselves (not directed at you, just in general people tend to do that with creators and they never realize that's burned ground then) 😅

what toxic players in any team game dont understand is that i am 30 or 40 years old and have a lot of free time and will absolutely report you for hurling slurs and profanity at the other team or your teammates
