For the record, I'm going on vacation for two weeks. Or, as some might say, I'm procrastinating so that I can really and truly freak the fuck out in two weeks.

#JamesBarryDiary 29/7/1876 Dark all day and threatening rain and did rain a little after night fall. I was edging some shingles and sawed a few blocks in the evening. Sawed 50 M. this summer. J. Grant finished the furring of the kitchen below. Water is pretty low now. Folks are at their HAY.

#JamesBarryDiary 21/7/1876 Something dark all day and raining some pretty good showers after dinner but not enough to raise the water perceptibly. I washed my self all over to day and I felt a great deal the better of it. John Grant went off to get the drill at 8 Mile Brook this afternoon.
