Calmer than you are

I love a writing prompt – especially thematic prompts that connect to our text. Often, a single word will work wonders. If your protagonist is going to be in an awkward situation, use “cringe” or something for the prompt and students will go wild with personal stories. The segues write themselves.

getting rid of grades entirely would be much more effective at curbing surreptitious use of genAI than any amount of surveillance, would do vastly less harm to the pedagogical relationship at the heart of education, and wouldn't be another massive economic windfall for the creepiest people you know

Today was a good day in the classroom, a really good day. (At some point in my life I'm going to look back and miss these type of days, and I don't for a second plan to take these days for granted.)
