Was trying to play Rodea the Sky Soldier on Wii U for the first time only to get stuck on chapter 8 while struggling with the controls. I then replayed the Wii version and it is amazing how much better it was. It legitimately makes me feel bad for Yuji Naka. Kadokawa BUTCHERED this game.

"Finally! 3D All-Stars is now totally obsolete!" says the people that have almost undoubtedly spent the past month shittalking Playstation.
Super Mario Sunshine coming to Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics on Nintendo Switch 2 on August 13
Pulled Shakedown Hawaii out of my backlog and finally rolled credits on it. It's actually insane how it managed to be even more relevant than it was when it came out pre-COVID. Just about all the capitalistic bullshit our way of life has been steamrolled by is thoroughly covered and mocked here.
Got very self-indulgent and put together a crude animatic of Joseph and Angeli to the audio of the Hadestown.
This is why it's hard for me to ever return to journalism. To be "successful" in the space is to be hostile and manipulative to your audience, not even because you believe in your work, but to artificially farm clicks/engagement. It isn't about having fun talking games, and hasn't been for a while.
I can almost guarantee this has nothing to do with Sony. If anything, it's more of an attempt to pierce through to feeds/get reactive clicks by being contrary. I wonder when the myth that journalists being paid by companies like this is a common thing will end?
Yo Kero Kero Cowboy is FIRE Play it Play it Play it
Went to a convention lately and picked up a fat bunch of PHYSICAL GAMES!! Plus a copy of a digital game I have 110% ownership over in the form of GBC indie title Kero Kero Cowboy. The music CDs came free with my purchase of Zelda and Rabbids Land.

A Pac-Man Confessions account has surfaced on Twitter...
If you ever feel like you've been doing nothing with your life, just know that someone who claims to be in their 30s DM'd me on Discord to vibe check me on what I think of the people that worked on The Amazing Digital Circus.
Was watching this low-budget Snow White movie the other day, and I NEED you to listen to this lady scream
Gonna try my best not to make a stink about it since it's only playthroughs.... ...BUT this was a suggestion I made during my job interview with Bamco back in 2021. So at the least, my eyebrows are raised.
Did you know that for over 20 times less than the cost of a certain upcoming AAA game, you can pick up Winnie-the-Pooh Hops for Honey for 20% off as part of this year's Steam Summer Sale! Enjoy classic gaming with classic characters - and without putting a dent into your wallet.
I hesitate to ever say Digital Circus is something kids can watch. Like, yea, there is barely anything "inappropriate" in TADC but also grown adults that actively claim to be fans don't even understand anything that happens in it. I don't think 9-year old Billy will know much better than them.
I know I said I was gonna stop commenting on AAA gaming news, but it is really funny to me Rockstar went "Wait, shit, people are too excited for our game. I know how we can fix that!"

Remember artists: If someone approaches you for your art, then tells you to lower your price or else they’ll just get AI to do it, they’re lying! They already tried AI. It failed. That’s why they’re coming to you. People always want free (ai) until it sucks, then they try the premium option (you)
Meet my indie game studio team
I didn't cry watching the Digital Circus finale....up until the projector scene Seeing their "real-life" counterparts find success in a world that's heavily against them is inspirational; the message actually means something when it comes from ARTISTS and not the megacorps that crush them
I am so happy Digital Circus exists. What a fucking wonderful show. What a great finale. What great visuals and animation. What great writing. I AM SO HAPPY FOR GANGLE.
Vagueposting, I know, but every once in a while I think about how I had a very real chance of seeing my name in the credits of Pac-Man games this decade.
Whenever you get to see me have to issue a correction on Daily Pac-Man, it is basically a reminder that the Pac-Man franchise body of work is so incredibly vast and all over the place that it's extremely easy to miss or forget about *something.*
CORRECTION: As pointed out by @sleeprhit.bsky.social, the Nintendo Switch 2 is the true victor of this scenario. Not only is it able to play all 9 of the Switch 1's Pac-Man ports, but Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties - which contains the Game Gear version of Pac-Man - is part of the Switch 2's library.
To the Daily Pac-Man followers: Would you like to see Pac-itorial reviews for older games in the franchise?
If there is any Mario fangame out there that lives rent-free in my head, it may have to be Super Mario PC by kikweb3 This feels like it came from an alternate reality where instead of being a key figure for Nintendo, Shigeru Miyamoto was an indie bedroom coder in the mid-1990s And I love it for it
Real talk, I think I'm gonna stop putting my two cents on what's going on in the AAA industry. It's increasingly depressing me, and I have too many games and other media already to lose myself like that. It's always much better to shine a light on indies, small studios, and my own work anyway.
If any video game that is made uses ChatGBT Gemini Grok Banana whatever the fuck, I’m not buying it. “guess you’ll get left behind—“ GOOD. I like video games for the art, you like video games for the capital. We are not the same.
Splatoon and Fire Emblem are the only upcoming first-party titles for 2026 thats coming to Switch 2 and isn't a remake or Switch 1 game. And Fire Emblem is $80. This is getting bleak.
This is what every game developer sounds like right now.
