Just had one of our best meals on our trip in Sorrento. Food was great, wine was cheap, ambience was on the spot. I browsed through on the train on the way there and selected it. On the way out of the restaurant I saw there was a picture of Rick Steves there. Thats when you know you nailed it
No athlete has made the transition from player to post career than Mario Lemieux, and that includes the time period where he juggled both.
Glen Sather. Brian Burke. Ken Holand. And now Steve Yzerman, the latest GM to be a genius at one job and then crash and burn at the next. This pattern repeats *a lot* in the NHL. It's weird. I got into why it happens and what it could mean for how we view GMs. www.nytimes.com/athletic/746...
This Rochester boy came across a pizza in Siena today that turned my head. Didnt think I would see garbage plate inspired cuisine over here. Pizza Americano
The players are just blowing by that shit stain with the most muted body language and then slapping up and hugging the other suits
Thierry Henry was so good on the panel throughout the World Cup. Thoughtful comments about the actual gameplay, but the glorious cherry on top was not needing an excuse to shit on Alexei Lalas at any point. Marvelous.
I had a lot of fun the past month watching the World Cup. It speaks to how great the players are because there were so many gross things surrounding it. The right team won. Spain was the best front to back. On to the women (will be way less diving)
Trey had his version of Bob swatting the microphone in anger tonight with his megaphone

Dialed it back to 1999 tonight. My mom dropped me off at a Phish show
An iconic performance in the most iconic movie of my childhood. RIP 🦖 🦕

The movie holds up. As does this great anecdote courtesy of Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum.
Thats why players dive in soccer. There is a tangible advantage in doing so. It is tactical malpractice not to. Same in hockey. Thats why Sid catching shit for the high stick against the Flyers is so dopey. If you dont do it the officials wont call it. It is lame, but also reality.
The accusations are always confessions, but even this one is too on the nose for this timeline.
Linda McMahon: "One stat that just astounded me was that one out of 10 school students across the country have some sort of sexual misconduct perpetrated on them by teachers or school staff. And what happens? No action is taken ... schools are going to be in jeopardy of losing their federal funding"
Meat hot sauce and yellow mustard. This is also my default for a steak sandwich

AEW just puts that kind of stuff on regular TV. With so few companies respecting their customer base these days it feels so great to be treated great by one of them
