They’re redirecting their own agency to it, as a way of diffusing responsibility, but the self-perpetuated intelligence myth has them convinced they have no choice.
At least this one is on rejection. We had a similar situation over here but with the word "Kawaii", and that one passed and it was an absolute mess for certain events that had the word on it, and soon clear that was done with less than savory intentions. Don't let this happen to this one.
