#Gabriel is my beloved immunocompromised OC so it gets…frequently and very sick haha. It’s a dual thing: genetic immunodeficiency and HIV (which is fine once he’s on meds tho! But before that he got brain tuberculosis and almost died 😅) She also just gets sick a lot with 4 kids in the house too 🤧

Alright, it was suggested to me that I actually crowdfund the out of pocket cost for the lumbar MRI since my insurance keeps denying the day before the appt even w/ it as an important order. I will have more info in the replies as well. I was honestly hesitant but... ko-fi.com/portaltohades

Right now, I'm currently in need of a lumbar MRI but due to insurance denials and other roadblocks, I may be forced to pay out of pocket. Since trying to get it twice now, my symptoms have significantly worsened over the last few months. After discussing my options with friends, I've agreed to make a kofi goal to cover the MRI, bills, transportation, and a small cushion for other necessities. Literally any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

A good health update! My GP actually took the report from my private internal medicine specialist seriously and is sending me to a public internal med doctor who can coordinate all the tests I need to get diagnosed. And even said he wrote the referral as high priority so I won’t need to wait long!

Am I totally missing something on the PPWR EU packaging requirements…? I read the EU commission’s fact sheet and it looks like only packaging producers (not users, like those of us who buy mailers and ship with them) are liable for waste management.

Had a phone appointment with my doctor today and he rushed me a bit, but did say he’ll look at the report and test orders from my specialist, so hopefully he’ll actually prescribe those tests in the public system so I can finally get a diagnosis. Insha’Allah. 🤲

Small update: My specialist is sending me for a lot of tests, which hopefully I can do through our public system (prayers for my doctor to take this seriously are welcome!!) Otherwise all the tests will cost over 5000€…which is not something I can even dream of affording 🫠
