The “best” thing about genAI (the quotes are doing heavy work here) is that it’s really lowered the bar on getting into hand-made art. Literally anything you make is better than ai. There’s never been a better time to throw away your fear and start learning that craft you’ve always wanted to learn.

Artists! I'm the DPI fairy here to tell you that DPI only matters if you are A: defining your canvas in physical dimensions, or B: printing. For A, your pixel resolution is the DPI number multiplied by the dimensions. A square 12 inch image at 300 DPI will have a resolution of 3600px by 3600px.

Looked through some of my old lino prints with a friend today and I'm honestly shocked how many I had put aside as "misprints" that were actually very nice? They just looked like a human had made them. And that's the most beautiful thing art can be now. I feel excited to start printing again.
