Dr. Tom Esposito focuses on the architecture and evolution of exoplanetary systems and studies the structures of young solar systems through direct imaging of their circumstellar debris disks – rings of dust and ice that trace collisions among orbiting pebbles, boulders, and planetesimals. 🧪

#PPOD: Over the Southern Ocean surrounding Antarctica, winds can whip around the globe relatively unimpeded by land. Intrepid sailors termed these southern latitudes the Roaring Forties, Furious Fifties, and Screaming Sixties on account of the strong prevailing winds. 🧪
