The holiday is coming to an end and we are heading south tomorrow but have had a lovely day visiting Lake Windermere. We took a boat to Bowness and visited The World of Beatrix Potter which was a particularly nice way to spend the morning.

Put the books in my bag first while packing, but probably don't need all five plus Honey on audiobook. My Brilliant Friend definitely coming with me as I am over half way through that

Had a fantastic evening yesterday at the event to launch the new Luna Loves London event at Discover Children's Story Centre. My 4 and 6 year old had the best evening

Completed my final day at Yale University Press. It's been a great year, the team at @yalebooks.bsky.social are the best and gave me a fab send off yesterday. Now two months of summer fun with my 4yr old before he starts school in September

Lovely to catch up with so many children's publishing people at The Paper Cat yesterday for The Shipwreck Atlas event. Met lots of people IRL and enthused about beautiful books

Enjoyed the Zog show and activities at Warwick Castle. While I may have struggled with the heat at least I didn't have a costume on like many of those performing here today

Trying to decide which books to pack for the holiday. I already have an audiobook so probably don't need 4 books for 5 nights away (especially as most of the time is with at my parents house and they have lots of books)
