The motion passed at Green Party Conf' actively undermines a 2-state solution, and does not address the rising threats of Islamophobia and Antisemitism here in the UK. This is a divisive motion that pours fuel on the fire of tensions in the UK, and will leave many British Jews feeling less safe.

They are focusing on the wrong 'lie'. Why was Mandleson appointed? Was it in spite of his links to Epstein and Trump or because of them? The stuff about vetting is to disguise the lie. Starmer should resign if he tried to exploit a man's connections to a pedophile, without regard for the victims.

The US is widely reported to have hit the Qeshm desalination plant. The response from Iran suggests they may now use the precedent to justify attacks on Gulf plants. Attacking critical civilian infrastructure is a war crime. The Govt must seek an urgent explanation from the US.

If it is appropriate for the advisor, Morgan McSweeney, to resign over advice given to appoint Mandelson, surely it follows that those who followed the advice should also resign? The appointment reeks of a deliberate attempt to influence Trump through his seedy liaisons, with no regard for victims.

Let all ICE agents - and all federal or any other officials who enable their actions and impunity - know that at some point in the future they will be held to account, under the law, for their actions today.

They're all knocking back the Kool-aid. We have to detoxify our economy and security by breaking US dependence.

I cannot tell you how absolutely infuriatingly this stuff comes across to Europeans. When we say America is no longer a reliable ally, it goes considerably deeper than Donald Trump himself. This kind of complacent, condescending shit is a *huge* part of it.

What's genuinely fascinating is how immune she is to any sort of internal reflection.

I grew up in a world where Britain played a strong geopolitical role, as a bridge between Europe and the US. Ten years ago the country chose to abdicate that position. Right now is the time for urgent realignment. It's time to cut the US off.

We cannot stand by and wait for Elon Musk to do the right thing while people are being abused and exploited. Liberal Democrats are calling for a full criminal investigation into X’s UK operations.

Whatever you want to say about the BBC, and I am a critic, US government interference in a British public institution of the magnitude of the BBC is untenable. There must be a diplomatic response!

I had my disagreements with the BBC under Tim Davie but he was a decent man doing a difficult job. To see Trump's White House claiming credit for his downfall and attacking the BBC should worry us all.

Listened to the excellent interview of Sarah Wynn-Williams earlier today on @newsagents.bsky.social podcast. Social media and networks like Facebook are powerful tools and in my view are not at all inherently bad. But as with anything, they can be dangerous when abused.
