Hi I'm Claire! she/her 🍃 Writes: mystery & fantasy | MURDER ON THE HONEYMOON (2025) Loves: gothic fiction, musicals, video games

Claude and Gemini are often correct. And they both point out real sources that I hadn't seen. Which is useful! But "often correct" isn't good enough. Road directions where 75% of the street turns are correct is not going to get me to the destination.

I have started running Claude alongside the book I am writing on ants, as well as just letting Google Gemini do its thing at the top when I do Google search. It is not doing any writing I am using, and I am always checking the results against primary sources.

Look this is such a weeb circa 2009 thought, but I rewatched the first few episodes of Death Note recently and it's such a shame that the dub version misses the linguistic nuance of "boku wa" vs. "watashi wa" in the first episode's culmination of Light and L both saying "I am justice"

One of my favorite bits my brain does is think 'oh, just like in [video game]!' when I'm doing something completely normal I just ignited my gas stovetop and thought 'oh, just like in Resident Evil 7!' like yes.... technically, yes
