This will definitely stabilize the bond markets, currency, and inflation all in one go and reflects sound fiscal policy

I think the political left should be the loudest voice calling for an AI model development pause, frontier pacing, and mandatory third party audits right now. Put aside the doomer stuff (though I think it’s plausible), we just found out that OpenAI’s agents committed a pretty major felony!

The President of the United States has been bragging to the media and other audiences about the fact that he knows how to spell the word "dumb." He's been doing it for MONTHS now. That isn't even a joke, it's an accurate description of what's happening in the White House!
I suppose we are no longer economically furious nor pressing maximally. [This was a complete nothing burger and, worse, his concluding remark about not wanting to blow up the international financial system undercut literally everything else he said.]
