I took a part-time gig for a company that does inventory at large stores, and they expected you to do nothing but hurry and also be exactly 100% perfectly accurate, it was crazy stressful and I had other part-time jobs anyway so after like a week I said "screw this"

In honor of the fired lady tell me about your shortest job tenure. I worked at a candy store for less than 2 weeks when I was like 16

I've seen people lamenting that it's hard to tell whether a new fan game project was AI generated, so here's a tip: if a project released in 2026 and the author doesn't write an impassioned diatribe about how AI is ruining their hobby: they used AI

Played more Dark Souls with a friend coaching today and I don't feel like I will ever really "get it". I don't think it's a bad game per se but it's hard for me to understand why it made such a big splash, even though I like a lot of hard games.

For those who aren't up to date on the 360 modding scene, this is a Big Deal. Believe it or not, until now, the 360 still never had a softmod and while some exploits in recent years had gotten most of the way, this is the real deal. You probably no longer need to solder your 360 to do Fun Stuff.

Grimdoomer has just released the first version of the "Peer Pressure" softmod for the Xbox 360, giving code execution at boot time, within 20 seconds, with no hardware modifications required, supporting the majority of console motherboard revisions! github.com/grimdoomer/X...

Gotta rave a little about this awesome Steam game I just tried called Usurper. It could be called a chess roguelike, and it's everything I'd want one of the to be. It'll challenge you and bend your brain every which way like real chess, but in its own unique and interesting ways. Love it!!

NIin2-Jump is neat little obscure Xbox Live Arcade platformer by Cave. It was made as a $5 title and as a result the game is crazy short. It's a shame that (to my knowledge) they never did anything else with this concept. It uses grapple mechanics which are always fun.

Funny how Tales of Eternia/Destiny II has been released three times, always leaving out one region on the physical side. 1. PS1, released in US but not Europe 2. PSP, released in Europe but not US 3. Modern platforms, physical in Europe but not US (though digitally everywhere) Kinda funny

MOTHER (NES) has been completely remade in 16-bit using EarthBound's engine! 🤯 This incredible project was 19 years in the making, faithfully recreating the entire game with EB-style visuals while preserving the original adventure. Grab the patch here: ebbr.neocities.org

I beat Metaphor! A very good modern JRPG. I have some gripes, for one thing it is waaaaay too easy to avoid regular combat, and the game at times feels a little formulaic and/or unoriginal in some ways (not all). Still, though, well worth playing.
