My 2nd spinal surgery also failed & this has been beyond overwhelming on top of my terrible grief. I'm waiting for a new specialist to review my case. I hope he will try to help me.
I'm not okay. Gabriel will rest in this beautiful urn with his brother Nigel, who I lost at the age of 21 months to cancer, 3 days before G was born. The other photos tell what happened, & what I know at this time. I injured my spine trying to save him and am finally having surgery Wed.
I'll be gone a while. Maybe permanently. My beloved dog Gabriel died suddenly this afternoon. I am completely devastated. He was only 8.5 years old and in perfect condition. He is.. He was my only true friend, and the only thing keeping me going with my failing health. I cannot breathe without him.
We desperately need to bring Civics education back to the classrooms. Or at least Schoolhouse Rock. Too many children were left behind.

The Supreme Court just reaffirmed what the Constitution has always said: birthright citizenship is a constitutional right. The President took an oath to uphold the Constitution — not rewrite it whenever it doesn't serve him. Newsflash, Donald: we live in a democracy — not a dictatorship.
Why can't Trump clean a pool, or throw a real 250th party? It's not (just) incompetence. It's also corruption.
I love horror. I watched this movie last night. It started off good but my stress 20 minutes in made me question my choice and consider popping a Xanax. Then it was just... weird. And by the end it was so terrible I couldn't look away. Choose the bear. Trust me. I need to block out this experience.

Those alt gov accounts that arose after 2016 are grifters. One of the top posts yesterday was @altnoaa.bsky.social posting an AI image of a beluga whale "escaping captivity to reunite with her baby." In response to being told it was AI, the poster said AI is good, actually, for evoking emotions.

I know people IRL who identify as leftists & are genuinely decent. In fact, I used to call myself a Progressive until it started feeling dirty around 2016. That said, there are no "good leftists" - not until they aggressively eliminate Jew hate and anti-Blackness in their hateful ass movement. NONE.
We are about to have new neighbors at a recently flipped house that has been abandoned for a very long time & I fear the privacy & darkness I enjoy so much is coming to an end. 😭 Tired but going out in our very dark yard to listen to tree frogs & watch fireflies. My dog enjoys this activity, too. 💚
