I just want to say that I am not even close to being a solo dev on this game anymore. Artist Mr. Pekinczyk made the beautiful pixel art and my friend Brendan made the banging soundtrack. Not to mention the tons of feedback, advice, and support I got from playtesters, friends, and my publishers : )

LUMEN 6.2 (2001) Oil on Canvas - 48” x 42” From an idea I had been carrying around in my head since the late '70s. “Lumen” is a word with multiple meanings (light, cavity, window) and all the paintings in this series deliberately make use of them. 1/2

Inside a dark concrete tunnel curving like the inside of a torus, the walls are segmented in square panels each set with a distinct hatch. Some but not all have hinges while some are obscured with tattered cloth. A few hatches have inviting handles or knobs to pull them open. A woman in white robes pauses to peer down through an opening after removing the plain wooden board covering it. Bathed in light from below, she comfortable rests her foot on a narrow wooden plank propped across the corner of the opening. The concrete below her is thick offering only the narrowest view of pale blue from the viewer's perspective.
