I cannot understand why a big mentality in Japan is “piracy is evil because it harms artists and steals from them” and then immediately turn around and get so excited by GenAI, which actually does these things.
MLK/MX, Watts, Rodney King, Ferguson, Garner, Floyd, any time Black ppl protest: “Violence won’t help your cause.” “Tsk! Looting!” “Why cant you organize—NOT LIKE THAT!” *Excessive Militaristic Cop Violence* “Its peaceful but also they block traffic & inconvenience—“ “Anger won’t help your cause”

Holy cow. The Guinea-Bissau offices of the two Danish researchers who were funded by RFK Jr. to conduct an unethical experiment with the HepB vaccine just had their offices raided and vaccines seized by the police. Great work on reporting this story once again by @melodyschreiber.com.

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO "Independence can be bloodless," and then immediately following up with Nelson Mandela as an example is COMEDY.
Sandy Hendry@sandyhendry.bsky.social · 2d agoMartin Luther King was much more successful than Malcolm X for example. Before that, there was no need for a bloody civil war in most countries that abolished slavery. Just votes. Independence can also be bloodless. Gandhi in India, Walesa in Poland, Mandela in South Africa. The list is long.
Still offering a few of these for anyone interested ❤️

So, it's been about one month since Macklemore got dropped from the Ed Sheeran tour and my Macklemore video got a big bump from the news, I'm donating the extra revenue from it (about $400) to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (pcrf.net) and hey, maybe you want to also
PCRF
The Palestine Children's Relief Fund was established in 1992 by concerned humanitarians in the USA to bring injured and sick children for free medical care they could not get locally
pcrf.net
The Problem With Apu was a pretty balanced and nuanced (and honestly tame) look at how cultural representation in television can leave an impact on people’s lives and what to do about it, so of course it’s still characterized by angry people online as a whiny temper tantrum from the PC police
