The LLM was used to rewrite human-written stories in commercial registers ("literary magazine", "published short story collection"). Grading culture is a symptom of something very rotten in the modern consumer economy. There's been a sort of double-move where the once-niche economy of collecting culture has expanded to swallow up more and more while collecting culture itself has kind of evaporated.

SCREEN Act, which would have required mandatory age-verification for sites (like this) that allow "material harmful to minors" failed to pass out of committee after thousands and thousands of people called their Senators. More work ahead!

Your voice matters and you should feel good that you made a difference. Obviously, the fight isn't over, but this was an important victory.
