The core of a narcissist is self loathing. When his cabinet praises him for expertise he doesn’t have, it makes him despise them, (tho he demands it) and amplifies his imposter syndrome. When Mamdani flatters the identity he believes *could* be real (I.e. he knows real estate), it nourishes him.

This confirms my theory how Mamdani originally charmed him: “I’m coming to you as a famous New Yorker and builder and asking for your ideas for NY.” It flatters Trump’s core identity and Is his comfort zone. Then Mamdani just has to listen to the dumb ideas and act intrigued.

The federal government “can’t afford” helping with childcare and Americans should be satisfied with two dolls per child and a “tortilla, piece of chicken, piece of broccoli, and one other thing” for their meals, but we can afford war and to illegally interfere to prop up a Putin-loving dictator.

I am convinced that Donald Trump’s obsession with “rare earth minerals” is entirely because of the name and not because he understands what they are for. The biggest rush for rare earth minerals is for their use in green energy production and storage, which he doesn’t give a shit about.
