unfortunately i think it requires specialized machinery to make the chickpea milk, otherwise every farmer's market on both coasts would have it

for me, the most devastating closure in portland in the last 5 years was the chickpea ice cream place. that ice cream was dope. it was an actually rich and creamy vegan ice cream that made you full really fast and also weirdly satisfied any protein cravings. like what the fuck

A depressing reality as a journalist is that often the most valuable stories are the ones the social media algorithm/people care the least about. One of my worst performing videos for Mother Jones is about a family of asylum seekers who had a father deported by ICE. It is likely my best work.

so everyone was upset, the person got off and ran to either a bathroom or the back of a dumpster (unclear), and then four people with meth face were so mad about sharing a bus with a pants pooper that they demanded to be let off right away
