And then, that all-man band is applauded just for noticing the inequity. They get the credit for not being oblivious. When women do it, it’s like “oh you go grrrl!! Yeah women rawk too!” Anyway, “Woman as Genre” will be the title of my autobiography
OK, I can’t not rant. I really hate how the ONLY TIME the point is made that shows should be more diverse (include women, people of color, non-bianary, queer, trans people) is when a well regarded band of ALL MEN are aware enough to insist on playing shows w/ groups different from them
Can the Richmond music scene get some DEI initiatives in place?
Radon Anatement tapes are mostly done but we have another batch to finish off. Likely shipping out in a couple of weeks or so. Been quite a bit of work as we did all the artwork ourselves, but also more fun than doing it some other way. Pretty damn pleased with them.
