Also WHY CAN’T WE ALL JUST STICK TO 24 HR UTC! Interfaces that only do local, interfaces that do 12 hr utc. Interfaces just CONFUSED. AHHHRG. It hurts my brain.

Having a dead shift is not a bad thing, but it lasts foreeeeevvvvveeeeeer when your brain isn’t really working great.( Not sure why, just an off day.)

WBS reading was great! I love words so much, seeing (& supporting) that spark in kids is important to me. (And look at those littles getting read to by none other than Mychal the Librarian!)

A large red, black and white sculpture READING IS FREEDOM in front of a brick building in shades of gray.Half dozen elementary and middle school school kids in chairs, preparing to do a presentation of their writing A man in a read shirt reads a children’s book to a room full of kids and adults (it was packed, this was just peeking in the door.)

Spent 5 minutes wondering why the district 3 councilman smiled and waved at me like he knew me or something (he does not.) I am wearing a Northeast Baltimore Annie Howe tshirt.

Took a walk, listened to the Baltimore Youth Poet laureate, Marcellus Vinson (he was very good.) & the Ibram X. Kendi talk. Going to see goats & WBS present tomorrow before my shift.

Got shots on my left since I roll to the right, except it turns out the bruises hurt more when flexed that way so I slept on my bruised left side instead. When I wasn’t on my back. It was a flipfloppy sleep.

So annual review. My current boss has a penchant for always having a “suggestion” for “growth.” To which I responded, oh, let me give you examples of exactly that thing the past yr. And then spotlighted coworkers’ amazing work, cause if you missed me, well, then.

Having an ugly, creaky screen door means that when some dumbass comes to randomly thump your door, you get plenty of warning & get to yell “dingleberry!” at the fleeing kid.

I have datapoints that suggest that: go to sleep after 2 am, 6-7 hrs straight sleep. Before, wtf 4/5am spontaneous wakeup & then wake grumpy a couple hrs later. I don’t like because it doesn’t fit my normal work schedule.

I’ve had several convos with coworkers about teaching myself python & why I won’t shortcut to AI in my process (including my annual review, lol.) What’s interesting is I’m pretty much getting “that makes sense.” AI/LLM does have a place in code assist, when you know what you are doing.
