Still a shit cunt, tbh. Now with less metal! Nerdery, books, tattoos, drug harm minimisation stuff, insurmountable debt and an unfortunate oversized arse. Will provide Vegemite sandwiches on request. Not political on Thursdays (Australian time)

One Nation really needs to hire a better photographer for their Victorian candidates. They have made almost everyone look like a squashed thumb

Consider this your gentle reminder, fellow ADHDers, that medication just helps you focus... it does not help you DIRECT that focus (says me, buried in social media all day like a chump)

Perimenopause has me desperately wishing I could afford Botox... not for my face, but for this ridiculous sweatiness I now experience. As a formerly not sweaty person, this is fucked.

I made the craziest cake ever. I can't even post a picture properly, because I have no idea how to describe it in the alt text. People may need to have at in the replies for our vision impaired friends, because I've got no idea

A top down view of a cake that looks like it has divided itself into 6ths, and then tried to turn itself inside out while baking.A more angled look at the chocolate frankencake. This more like someone cut it into chunks and threw it back in the tin

Absolutely upsetting people left right and centre by saying NCCD fraud is wrong, regardless of the clientele of the school. (Would also love to see an operating budget out of that school to account for the expenditure. A girl can dream)

It should be perfectly acceptable for a man to say to a hairdresser, "I don't care what you do with it, just make me as good looking as you can given what you have to work with here…"

I have encountered my first real JAQ-Off online, and there are no words to describe how pleased I was to finally be able to use the term in the appropriate context. (He was also sealioning, but that's less fun to say, and honestly, I like sealions)

Warm weather also makes me much more goal oriented. Get back into blogging! Read more books! Keep the yard nice! (All much easier to think when I am home from work with a sick child)

Today's summer read (which I will clearly not finish in a day) is Niki Savva's Earthquake. It will be interesting to read from the perspective and context of this far into Alvanese's tenure, where I feel like much of my hope and enthusiasm have died.

First day of spring, and it is glorious. Time to kick off reading summer! Last night, I finished On Reckoning by @amyremeikis.bsky.social. A short read, but don't be fooled, by no means is it easy. A powerful account of personal experiences, and the broader experience of being a woman in Australia

I am on my annual Hunger Games series comfort rewatch, and fuck me if I don't miss Philip Seymour Hoffman's acting. Consider this YOUR reminder to re/watch The Boat That Rocked.

I do not care who you are or where you are from, "school choice" is just a way of shitting on those who are less privileged than you. Fuck right off.

I haven't made paella for YEARS. Used to be a go to dish I would cook for ny ex... we've been separated for 9 years, figured I was due to give it a crack again. Deeeelicious
