Currently trying to regain some health. I write about animals and TV shows.

Love Blair Braverman's podcast "What to carry, what to burn." The survival stories are interesting. But it's her insights, her experience, and her kindness that really make this podcast amazing.

Things that have gotten better in my lifetime: Childhood mortality rates. Fewer people smoking. More helmet use (bikes, horseback riding, etc). Photography. Data storage. New vaccines and medical treatments.

Video description: A little black greyhound lies on a comfy bed. Her person's voice asks if she wants to go for a ride, and comments, no, she wants to stay forever. The dog paws at her grandperson's leg as he gets up from a chair, asking for more pets.

according to Wikipedia, LP "is gender-neutral but said in 2018 they are "equally comfortable" being considered a "garden variety lesbian woman"... "shifted to using they/them pronouns, saying in an interview, "I’m kind of transitioning over to the they/them thing; it's more my kind of vibe".

I can easily think of a bunch of things that would improve my life but it's been hard to make them happen with so few resources. I'm grateful for the help I've gotten and the resources I do have! but. it's tough
