my problem with "teenage sex & death at camp miasma" is it's probably really cathartic and fulfilling for someone who is just starting to figure their whole deal out but there's not a lot in it for those of us who started murdering teenagers at a remote summer camp more than a decade ago

It's not "too woke" to say that straight men who rape women should be reviled for being rapists, not tarred as secretly queer. To imply they're gay, or that they wear dresses, to distance them from manhood, is to insist that their violence is "deviant" rather than utterly banal and normative.

I think my personal issue with the "it's GAC" jokes is that for there to be any hipocracy to be pointed out, it assumes that Republicans blocking GAC for trans people stems from not supporting GAC wholesale, rather than their belief in upholding patriarchical gender heirarchies.
