Look, I’m not going to dance around the question. If you’ve seen “I Want Your Sex,” how sexy is it actually? Or is it just campy and silly?

An all-time classic and I'll always wish it'd been used for a longer-form animation. Also: I'll take any opportunity to remind people about my Gorey-inspired game for the Playdate, called "Sound Mind." (Coming... eventually?)
I post for the people who grew up wailing “ahhhh! ahhhh!” in perfect time with the lady slumped backward over a gravestone in the Masterpiece: Mystery! opening credits and still do it every single time.
Good news friends! I will be at @dragoncon.org this September to talk about games alongside some truly incredible developers. I hope to see you there! #dragoncon2026
Ralphs has stopped selling Impossible Sausage chain-wide and it’s thrown my world into chaos.
“Sorry, champ. You’ll have to go with your new teammates to see the live-action Moana instead.”
I got my PC in 2021, and it’s got an RTX 3080 that’s more than powerful enough to handle everything I play on it. (Repeating that to myself because I was just pricing Radeon cards to upgrade a machine I rarely use anymore).
This whole thread is good but this part is key: If you've read "There Will Come Soft Rains" because of the date, read the rest of The Martian Chronicles. Like Bradbury's best stuff, it seems charmingly quaint and dated until you get to that moment of darkness that feels eerily prescient.
So! If you’ve never read it, now’s the day. (And when you’re finished, go ahead and read the rest of “The Martian Chronicles”)
I’m embarrassed that I’ve been following the teasers and trailers for “The End of Oak Street” for months without ever realizing it’s a double entendre.
if you suffer from motion sickness with first-person games, please try one of our "motion reduction overlays" in Big Walk — crosshair, frame, or both. this is experimental, but we really want to improve this accessibility issue. give it a bit of time (if you can) then report back!! here's "both":
Very clever interactive art!
So interesting 💭 "Relighting 'Nighthawks' - bit.studio reimagines Edward Hopper's classic artwork, turning the most crucial element, the 'light,' into something you can actually control!" The exhibit is held at the bit.studio gallery on the 3rd floor, Slowcombo building in Samyan, Bangkok. #art
Sad to hear of the death of Emperor Palpatine. He was larger-than-life, always outspoken and secretly very kind in private.
New Bluesky rule: people who jump onto dogpiles and try to perpetuate them get put in timeout. It is the most disingenuous bullshit, and I’m embarrassed for anybody who looks at anonymous accounts swarming on someone telling them to F themselves, and thinks “Seems legit! I want to be part of this!”
What set me off this morning: Remembering how I’d wake up and see him sitting on my husband’s laundry hamper facing the hall, never realizing that he’d come up to guard the door until I was awake. Then he’d go downstairs with me, not waiting for me, but matching my pace step for step.
I hugged Pazuzu almost every day for almost 20 years, whether he wanted it or not. I miss him a lot.
This is good natured and I’m absolutely NOT dunking on this person, but it gets at how I think we’re at/past inflection point where we all have to be a lot more mindful of the things we use. Eg, AirPods aren’t nearly as intrusive as pervert glasses, but they do signal “I’m not listening to you.”

One Thing I Love About Spider-Man: Brand New Day Much of Brand New Day feels like it was made specifically for lifelong fans of the comics, but it still works for those of us who weren't. (No spoilers but caution advised)

I thought Spider-Man was excellent. Loved it. I recommend knowing as little as possible going in! It made it so much better not being spoiled by trailers and promos.
This performance from Austin City Limits was what turned me into a St Vincent super fan. Hearing “Black Rainbow” and “Marrow” live with a full orchestra was something I’ve been waiting like 15 years for. youtu.be/kOTIwE3y94Y

Another LA resident milestone tonight. In high school, I watched Monty Python at the Hollywood Bowl so much that I had the entire show memorized. Never thought I’d be here.
For me, seeing His Girl Friday was pivotal, since it feels so smart and modern, despite all the reminders it’s from 1940. Totally changed my mindset not just about movies, but how I’d been sold this idea of people pre-1950 being as quaint and innocent as the Hays Code would have you believe.
just realised I've watched more black and white movies in 2026 so far (6) than I had in my whole life until that point, can't believe I spent so long I assuming all old films had to be dull
My normal tinnitus has had a new tone for the past few days, and I’m pretty sure it was from The Odyssey. During the scene where they meet a kid in the woods that just starts high-pitched screaming, I actually said out loud in the theater, “What the fuck is wrong with you Christopher Nolan”
I really enjoyed the book Victorian Psycho, but I assumed it would be unfilmable. BUT the author, Virginia Feito, wrote the screenplay, and the casting of Maika Monroe is so absolutely perfect. I’ve only seen a couple of her movies, but she just overwhelmingly *gets it*. youtu.be/sDiFol_2j2I

One of the many, many expansions for Camp Grizzly is called “jump the bear,” which contained “all of their worst ideas.” Everything in it is perfect, but especially friendly camper Meemo. “Meemo love. Meemo is love.”
I haven’t watched this video yet, but I like seeing one of my all-time favorite board games Camp Grizzly getting attention. It does this unique (in my experience) thing where it’s entirely mechanics-driven, but still ends up feeling like a co-op story game/TTRPG. youtu.be/c70Umme_Wk8

I was hugely fortunate to get to work with a really, really smart person who understood how to give players a sense of agency in a predetermined story. I’m also currently at the point of breaking a story where I just want to say “they do it because I said so, all right?!”
