A good poem to read before bedtime. This is by Ryler Dustin from a Green Linden Press chapbook entitled "Something Bright."

I just resigned from NASA. It breaks my heart to leave, but I’ve become convinced the best path forward is to do the best science I can, and that can’t be here anymore. I’m still in love with the promise of those four magic letters. Ad astra per aspera, and remember: Earth is the only good planet.

To those of you who have read and enjoyed any of my three books, the reason they wound up in your hands is that in 2004, Ann Godoff, the editing and publishing giant who founded Penguin Press, took a chance on me. She died yesterday at 76. I owe her more than I can say. She changed my life. >

One thing I found deeply moving about resistance in the Twin Cities was the universalism of loving your neighbor, the philosophy driving the opposition to the ICE/BP invasion. I couldn't help but notice the contrast with the blood and soil-ism of Miller and Vance. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

What's making me really livid right now is thinking back to the years of commentary lecturing us that the rise of MAGA was rooted in a sense of righteous victimization by overbearing liberal elites, and sneering at those who insisted that it was fundamentally about domination and sadism all along.
They are telling us in unequivocal terms that if you show solidarity with immigrants who are in the literal crosshairs of Trump/MAGA, you're risking a death sentence. newrepublic.com/article/2055...
Stop what you’re doing and read this whistleblower report. ICE has been training its agents that they don’t need a judicial warrant to break down your door - a blatant violation of the 4th Amendment. www.documentcloud.org/documents/26...

Social movement scholar here. ICE is a MUCH stronger electoral enemy than DT since ICE is a material force in communities for two reasons: 1.) It forces a confrontation with the secret police and returns to convo about surveillance, extrajudicial murder, and police funding + immigration.
This is a test for Democrats right now. If you really want to grab the mantle of leadership and emerge as a frontrunner, you have to speak out forcefully and against ICE... Right now. No centrist mealy-mouthed bullshit.
We won't shy away from showing the horrors of CECOT. Watch @timmiller.bsky.social's conversation with Andry on the abuse he faced there: lnk.thebulwark.com/3Y3Y9xI
It’s been two weeks since ICE took Yuanxin Zheng from his father. He is six years old. He’s still not home. This has to end.
I hereby nominate myself for the FIFA Prize in Literature. Please send congratulations and / or cash directly. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ARTEBTION TO THIS MATTER.

I’m glad Zarna Garg and her daughter did this podcast because it exposes their Trump-leaning views. It also reveals how deeply colonial conditioning persists among many Indians. 1/2

In South Minneapolis, Minnesota, nearly two dozen neighbors confronted and surrounded ICE goons after rapid-response alerts were issued. The goons were questioning an East African man when the situation escalated, and they eventually left the area without making any arrests.

Every novel is a game the reader and the writer agree to play together, but some novels require more agreement than others. INVISIBLE CITIES really asks you to buy in. How to describe it? I could tell you, I suppose, that it's a dreamy travelogue of invented cities—
