this is actually a great counterexample to the "you only think music from when you were a teen was better because you were a teen" conventional wisdom when the music went from being impeccable to terrible in just 12 months

I think this is fundamentally wrong but in an interesting way I will need to write about sometime. The key is a) consumers do not choose what is produced, or how, they choose between what is produced. This is a crucial difference

This is the first time in 3 years our neighbors haven’t had their under-eave flashing light system on. This is how it was the first 6-7 years at our house. So peaceful. I will enjoy it while it lasts
