Interesting ancestry of “embarrassing” and “embarazada” (pregnant) - think it’s neat how Arabic slips its way into English. Interestingly “bear” as in to bear children has no relation afaict. Plus - all the Romance languages maintain the connotation of shame, only Spanish has pregnancy connotations.
