I created phonetonote.com before a roadtrip in 2020. working on some new things now, slowly. I have a day job in healthcare tech.

In the North Carolina General Assembly, Carla Cunningham, Nasif Majeed, and possibly Shelly Willingham, all conservative Democrats who have voted to overturn Josh Stein's vetoes, are on track to lose their primaries. Look at God.

let's talk selfhosted/open-source bookmarking services! does anyone use hoarder/karakeep? i really like how it supports text notes, but the codebase looks a bit messy. e.g. those text notes are in the trpc backend but not the api. tons of open issues, don't think any about that

phone-to-mcp seems obvious (text things to a number, claude is aware of those things) but i don't think i'd ever use it personally? chrome-to-mcp seems a little better since it could extract and ingest the link, but still...

what is soa for coding agent w very large context window? 120k-1m tokens vs cursor's 20kish limit. anything? or any models in cursor that work well at that size?

balaji describing memecoins as zero/negative-sum raises an important question... is all of crypto zero/negative-sum? sbf describing crypto to matt levine on oddlots certainly comes to mind

claude just like me fr knows it should be a more specific enum, too lazy to remember how to do it in python and remembers its all a lie anyways, just uses `str` and sticks the specific types in a comment

using claude/cursor to build an MCP feature feels v "rite of passage"-y. especially bc it requires having a good way to get your the gist of your [[new thing]] in context for it to do a good job

i think the 2025 least-cursed webdev stack is: - tanstack start - clerk - hono api - d1 database - cf pages attached to workers convex and pocketbase are very compelling, haven't tried them in earnest rails and larvel are great if you know em

in rails they changed the command from `rake task` to `rails task` but you still have to describe it as a `rake` task when describing such things with coworkers. nomenclature does not adhere to semver
