It’s strange. As an artist, I want my work to be seen as valuable without the audience needing to know me for that value to exist. But as an artist, I should have more value than any art I make just by being a person. It’s a deeply ingrained feeling, but it goes against everything else I know.

Wacom recently asked me to talk about why I make queer comics, and given there are multiple bills right now floating around in congress that are effectively "we will kill your livelihood if we get a sniff of queer" I had some pretty strong, simply feelings to relay.

What began as ”this is a fun idea, I’ll just doodle it up quick-“ often turns into “Right, hands need more effort. Oh, this is a fun blending method! I should work out a nice outfit…” and suddenly I’m three days in on something that wasn’t even on the to do list

I've been playing my jackal Hedjah in a friend's Beast World game, and managed to get a fun doodle of her as we played. This particular combo has proven very effective at slaying nothing she wants dead, and has only ever killed one(1) crab she didn't want to kill. #beastworld #ttrpg

A jackal practices her swordplay. She tosses away her cloak, begins with a lunging horizontal sweep, leaps with a rising slice, and crashes down with an overhead slash. The path of the sword leaves a green trail as it travels.
