It is completely unlawful for ICE to turn away members of Congress like this. The law could not be more clear; no member of Congress may be denied access to a facility where ICE is detaining someone, and they cannot be required to schedule in advance. Surprise inspections must be surprise.

Trump has not ended the war in Ukraine in 24 hours as promised. Rubio is now moving the goalposts and saying that was never Trump's promise and that his new policy is just that he wants to see the war ended at some time.

Best thing our allies can remember: if you stand up to Trump you intimidate him and he will back down. If you crawl to him (like his sycophantic politicians) he will not respect you and will eventually throw you under the bus.
I worry that this is the real threat to democracy. Not changing laws where it’s too difficult, but giving the go ahead to domestic terrorists to show up armed at polling places to scare “undesirables” away because the government has got their backs.
