Summary:
Finally his plans had worked, finally he had done what he'd set out to do a hundred years ago when he first arrived from the Source. Finally the Warrior of Light, the First's new Warrior of Darkness, stood in the flesh on the First and finally the Exarch felt like maybe things would go according to his plan.

But it wasn't only that – it wasn't only that he knew finally there would be a chance to save the home that he'd built here and save the Source in turn. The Exarch knew there was something else gnawing at him, burning a hole deep down in his crystallized heart. The young man he'd once been was awakened by seeing the Warrior again and there was no putting him back to sleep.

And so, shameful as it was, the Exarch let himself watch.

He cannot step closer to her. If he does, he won't stop walking.

"…yours…is to build this future where hope reigns and tragedies of the past are but memories. No one but you can accomplish these things."

He wants her to take it as a blessing. He calls her the star by which he will chart his course, the truest thing he can say to her. The closest thing he can say to love, in this world where he must leave her behind.

She nods, accepting his choice.

But as he turns away in finality, he is unsure, exactly, what it became in her ears — for the emptiness in her gaze has not caught to hopeful fire, as he'd wished, but instead remains a dead field of levin upon which nothing grows at all.

Being trained to hunt as a Moon Keeper, Sidra could handle being an archer pretty well I think. She's not great at magecraft, so White Mage and Black Mage are probably out. I think she'd make a great Paladin, tho. #SidraElding
