Bottom trawling, dragging a heavy net across the seafloor, has been compared to burning down a forest to catch rabbits. Sweden starting to ban this in sensitive habitats is my #EarthOptimism #OceanOptimism for today. 🦑🧪🌎🐠 (I’m not anti-trawl but there are some places we shouldn’t do it)
