This week, after nearly a decade of extensive reporting on widespread sex abuses, the Southern Baptist Convention will likely elect a new president who does not believe they have a sex abuse crisis. How is that possible? It all goes back to Paul Pressler, a sexual predator who remade SBC culture:
Between this and next week’s Southern Baptist Convention, it appears that pedophile protection is all the rage this season.

George W. Bush has an opportunity to do the right and noble thing. Tell the American people his Forever Wars, despite the heroic efforts of men and women in uniform, were a stain on our history and a source of trauma for people around the globe.
