Lost within a maze of my own consciousness, tossing & turning, searching for the daylight in an endless night. Waiting for a call, the song of a morning chorus, the songbirds awaken me in a new chorus of enlightenment. #SenseWrds #poem #poetry #prompt268 #prompts

the rain and streetlight shadows mix into night's gloom the rain and streetlight shadows hide his tears and downcast eyes the rain doesn't wash away the shadows marking his skin the shadows make the loveletters on his skin hard to read the shadows lay wet and heavy in the rain #SenseWrds 267

The clouds scrawl their philosophy across a purple morn they preach of softness, and of moving slow and calm. While I rush and trip. This jagged, prickly thing I am— always anxious over something. I try to be more like the clouds, breezing by but the closest I get is when I cry. #sensewrds 267
