“Homosexuality is a sin. We shouldn’t promote gay lifestyles. Gay couples shouldn’t get married or have kids. But I support gay people.” Some of the vilest homophobia was spouted by people who claimed they weren’t anti-gay. Now we see the same tactics employed by those opposed to trans rights.
Meanwhile, here is a marsupial I stumbled upon on a frolic in Brisbane.
For what it’s worth, Amnesty International in Australia was the first place I felt comfortable coming out as gay when I was 19. I felt safe to do this because there were many gay folks in the organisation. I found community. Amnesty represents me much more as a flaming homosexual than LGB Alliance.

Nor does she mention that the entire Tufton Street–linked LGB Alliance membership could fit on a single National Express coach. So no, Joanne. Nothing is “happening.”
