I wonder: how much of the "increased in consumption" is people doing what I am doing which is stocking up on supplies and basics as a hedge against increased prices and potential shortages? We're stockpiling dry and canned food, and household goods like crazy.

when I get new information, I'm willing to change my mind, and Reuters has just posted a new video from 4:30 AM (an hr after the live stream ended) that provides evidence that in fact some of the letters have been removed. The lawyers though have still petitioned the court for a noon extennsion.

I call fake on this photo. That worker is in a basket lift, not on the type of scaffold built yesterday. Every single worker left the site last night around 3:30 am, they did not leave any workers or any equipment behind. And the same female LEO has been on the grounds patrolling it since then.

well this changes my view of things. having an outside witness on the spot suggests that the letters are in fact coming down. And what I took to be a vertical surface is actually a horizontal one shot from below.
