Fermentation, like canning and freezing, is a very cool way to preserve seasonal produce. And, if you’ve never had homemade Korean fermented veggies… you’re missing out. 😋 Traditional fermented German sauerkraut is still on my foods to try list.

Feeling this right now. I’ve been stuck in an editing loop because I have not necessarily happy endings, and people keep telling me that won’t sell, readers will hate me. Finally really decided (again ;) that it is more important to me to be true to my story right now. Though things change.

I think one of the greatest personal moments in my writing career so far was realizing I don’t want to write full time. I want as much control as I can get over what I write and the pace at which I write it. Very few people in publishing get that, especially when writing full time.

Cool reminder of how important it is to conserve diversity: finding disease resistant genes in wheat relatives! This review makes me simultaneously glad we have found so many and amazed at how relatively few there are in the grand scheme of things.

I just want to say, peptide stacks ... the peptide part is basically short for peptide growth hormone. Same for synthetic peptides -- they are synthetic peptide growth hormones. I'm not saying don't take them if the doctor says to... I'm just thinking maybe don't recommend them to high schoolers?

I love biochemistry around fermentation, so this paper was fun for me. They did a Genome Wide Association with 143 plants, 2 species of coffee to look for flavor genes, and the core of their study found that more sugar makes coffee taste better. ❤️❤️❤️
