Pictures of Dal and Gwyn, and Murf and the Protostar flying through space. Prodigy was specifically made as a kids’ show, and it’s the most grown-up of the recent Treks. It’s an excellent series, and Paramount has completely buried it for no good reason.

As far as I know Star Trek: Prodigy is the only show in the franchise that isn't streaming anywhere right now. The only way to watch is on DVD/Blu-Ray... maybe digital download? If anyone knows differently, I'd love to hear from you.

My sister/writing partner @juliebenson.bsky.social explains why producer titles/credits matter and why it is a big deal if you are credited incorrectly... and ponders what can be done to rectify an error. (She is credited as 'consulting producer' but somehow I am correctly credited as Co-Producer)

Some things I realized at SDCC yesterday: Some of the people with booths/tables in the exhibit hall were toddlers when I started going to SDCC 20+ years ago. 2016/2017 were our apex SDCC years (so far). I miss working in comics. Party FOMO is all gone. I like going to bed at a reasonable hour.
It's that time again -- headed to #SDCC! No panels for us this year, but you can find @juliebenson.bsky.social and me wandering around the convention center or gaslamp over the next couple of days. If you see us, come say hi!

Another follow-up: This is not my entire library. I obtained these approx 350 books from 2 different auctions. My existing library is spread between living room shelves, office, and bedroom closet. Here's the living room bookshelf. You can't see that each row has two more stacked behind them.

By way of clarification, I bid $5 for all the Star Trek books and won. Downside: I neglected to see that theauction was in Pennsylvania. And that these were marked 'pick up only.' I paid to have them shipped, so final cost: a lot more than $5 (but less than a buck a book)

I just learned about FAFO parenting and am seriously pondering if there is parenting that isn't that. My parents might not have said those exact words, but the ethos was ever present in my upbringing and those of pretty much everyone I knew when I was a kid. Has that changed?
