Newly hatched lesbian trans woman still figuring everything out. Monogamously married. Mostly, I post about games, hobbies, and comics. And I guess now probably a lot of trans stuff. She/her.

Everyone, look. I know this timeline isn't great. There's a lot wrong with it. But. Florence Pugh is an actress in this timeline. We get to watch her amazing performances in two of my favorite Marvel movies and one of my favorite Marvel shows. She's great in all of them. So it's not all bad.

Holy cow. Saw Brand New Day. It might be my new favorite movie, full-stop. It was everything I've ever wanted from a Marvel movie and simultaneously hit me on a deeply personal level. Also, I know I'm still new to this mix of hormones, but it's also the first time I've ever cried in a movie theater.

This sort of post really lays bare the delusions of transphobes. They've convinced themselves there's swarms of trans athletes taking over. The reality is if you made a trans sports league it would have fewer than ten people in it. No, I'm not making that number up.

From reddit:

PSA: Of the 510,000+ NCAA athletes, less than 10 identify as trans.

It will never not be funny to me that in Katy Perry's Last Friday Night, she sings "Think we kissed, but I forgot" and follows it up a few lines later with "Then had a ménage à trois" Like, "I can't remember for sure about the kiss but we definitely had a threesome" is such a wild concept.

People think of Sylveon and Hatterene as the trans Pokémon because of the colors and the vibes and stuff (and they are) BUT... Togepi literally sits in a broken eggshell waiting for someone to be kind enough that it feels safe to come out, and if that isn't the most relatable shit...

Togepi, a broken eggshell Pokemon with a head, arms, and legs popping out.

"If you have even the slightest hint of an idea that this book might be for you, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy. It might just change your life. It does that sometimes." thank you @shawndra-quinn.bsky.social, your words mean so much to me

They say to never judge a book by it's cover, but this saying has never been demonstrated to me more vividly than with this book. Prominently, right there in the title... "A Toxic Yuri." I thought... eh, probably not for me. I like my romance stories nontoxic, thanks.

A friend convinced me to try it anyway. I've been reading a lot of transgender fiction lately and I decided, what the heck? I'd give it a shot. I am so, so glad I did. Not only did I end up enjoying it, it is now my absolute favorite piece of transgender fiction I've ever read. I'm not even exaggerating. The characters are so real and relatable and great. More than once, I found myself reflected in these pages, and made new discoveries about my own live through the vehicle of this book. And the fandom is full of some of the most delightful people I have ever met; there's a Discord server set up for fans of the book (and honestly any other trans folks who want to join) and it's just such a wholesome and wonderful community. This is more than just a book, it's an experience.

If you have even the slightest hint of an idea that this book might be for you, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy. It might just change your life. It does that sometimes.
