One of the best things about having a questionable memory when something you posted (but don’t remember) pops up and it makes you laugh because that dude has the same messed up sense of humor you do…

I dunno, I’m a nerd and stuff. Linux Journal alum, web cartoonist, YouTuber. Assume the best in people, and be kind; the rest will go much better. https://shawnp0wers.com
On the wall in the Rainforest Pyramid in Galveston. It really stuck with me…
On vacation with my sweetie, today we were treated to a day at the Texas RenFest — it was so incredible!!!
A grocery store Starbucks being the gold at the end of the rainbow is really depressing…
I’ve manned a lot of soundboards in many venues over the years. Nothing warms my cold heart like a singer/speaker with good mic control. :)
I’m too old to pull all-nighters for work. But I don’t have enough of a handle on my ADHD and/or I’m too immature to push past perfectionism and procrastination without the pressure of a hard deadline. Sigh.
Back in my day, the second moon still pulled the mana tide. During the alignments, fish would gain sentience and their dark lunar magic would mean a fortnight of hiding for us land dwellers.
Back in my day we were cats, see, Wizard cats, and we had to sneak out at night when the humans were asleep to go do important Wizard shit like maintaining with world gates in Grand Central Station and staving off the inevitable heat death of the universe.
@hankgreen.bsky.social — hey bud! My daughter is currently making your beverage at North Perk. Welcome to our town, home you got to see it yesterday before the rain. :)
A narrator change in the middle of an audiobook series is really unsettling.
@scalzi.com — heard his name in the acknowledgments of your mooncheese book, and my brain dutifully played (on repeat, dammit) the song with the modified lyrics. Damn you, Devin Desai. Even if every single one of us is, in fact, you.
I didn’t play sports as a kid (the crowd gasps in shock), and yet as an almost 50 year old nerdy meatsack, I have a knee that just always hurts. How are knees the best evolution could come up with?!?
When you’re an adult, you can buy cookie dough, put some in a bowl, and eat it with a spoon. So far that’s the only benefit to adulthood I’ve discovered.
It's crazy, after YEARS, I still love this mug as much as the day I bought it. reviews.nerdlings.net/product-revi... (Reposting because now there are 3rd party charging coasters on Amazon which are much cheaper than the name brand, but work just as well!)
Review: The Ember Mug
Check it out on Amazon Thanks to ADHD (which was undiagnosed for 46+ years of my life), I have a tendency to leave coffee cups everywhere. Usually, they’re half full of coffee, and I’ve…

Finishing a book series is depressing because starting a new book/series and getting to know new characters is just as unpleasant as doing it in real life… #IntrovertLife
Sitting next to my 28yr old daughter in church. She’s knitting during the sermon, and before understanding ADHD, if she were a child I might have scolded her and told her to pay attention. Now I understand this is a coping mechanism, and HOW she pays attention.
Farm still up for sale, but we already sold the tractor last fall… Had to buy a fixer-upper to mow the lawn. But hey, now the farm comes with a John Deere tractor with mower deck and snowblower! 😜
Multiple contracts, all of which fell through puts our farm back on the market. I still love this property, and I’m excited for someone else to start a new adventure there. 🙂 www.zillow.com/homedetails/...

Vinyl aficionados: The hisses and pops add artistry and depth to the sound. GenXers who had cassette tapes during their prime listening years: That’s like enjoying the texture and character the sand adds to clam chowder.
Millie is trying to convince me she’s a Newfoundland so she can get 25% more treats. Because tariffs.
@kevinhearne.bsky.social OK, you made me laugh out loud today. When the sun isn’t shining on the iridescent feathers, it can be hard to tell a grackle from a starling. I always tell my family to look at their eyes, because grackles have CRAZY eyes. And your photo caption in the newsletter agreed!
I was catfished. I don’t know why I fell for it. I don’t even like stinky chicken liver, and I could clearly see the hook…
If I were a bird, I think I’d be a duck. Because, “quack” describes my outlook on life most of the time.
@aptshadow.bsky.social It’s been several *years* now, and, “We are going on an adventure!” — still lives in the dark corners of my psyche, rent-free.
@kevinhearne.bsky.social We just got power back after the better part of a week (Michigan ice storm), and I see the audiobook is out! w00t! Do you know canonically where this lives? (Hi, I’m that annoying fan with OCD again…)
