booted up metroid dread for the first time since it came out and the level of characterization for Samus is night and day against Prime 4. that said (and i know i'm probably in the minority here), it makes me appreciate the slower pace of the prime games. you get to soak in the atmosphere more.

Absolutely unbelievable how solar power has taken off worldwide during the Hormuz oil crisis. You don't have to hand it to him, but Trump may have done more to finally kick off a global civilization of effete librul solar users than anyone else in the West

Much as I would love for maga to succumb to manosphere infighting, the Tate brothers are clearly sweating and trying to pressure Trump into helping them somehow. Them going to jail will have no more effect on Republican politics than Charlie Kirk's death. This is posturing.

Finished Metroid Prime 4. Think it's a fun game to play, like its predecessors. It's beautiful and often haunting and I didn't mind the federation peeps or the cybike. Main beef is just that the story and characters are kind of shallow. The writing didn't evolve enough for a near 20-year lapse.

I've been around politics discourse long enough now to know that a lot of US political junkies slept thru government 101 class. No actual sense of what Congress *does* or how much maneuvering reps try to squeeze out of their opaque toolsets. It's work where people act within constraints.

In all this talk about religious exemptions, has anyone really made the case for Christians having a religious obligation to be vaccinated? Because I think there's a strong argument that vaccination embodies the idea of serving others and protecting the vulnerable among us.
