A Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures ROM was found in the raid on Bin Laden's compound. It fails to reach the initial SEGA splash screen in Ares, and crashes BlastEm, but will run in older/less accurate emulators such as Gens/GS r7. Might be a bad dump, since my own No-Intro ROM exhibits no such issues.

"4CDCE441C37C2A1E1FAC2249A79280DF_PACMAN2.SMD", which was found in the CIA's release of various materials from the May 2011 raid on Osama bin Laden's compound in Abbottabad. As evidenced by the filename, this is a ROM of "Pac-Man 2 The New Adventures" for the SEGA Genesis that has been hosted on the CIA's website for the past eight years. Surprisingly, it works! ...barely. It is seen running the attract demo in Gens/GS r7 - an outdated SEGA Genesis emulator, which itself is forked from the original Gens. This particular ROM will not run on modern emulators such as Ares or BlastEm, per my own testing. The Gens/GS r7 window is rendered on-top of a browser window displaying "Everything.20171105.hash_index.txt" which accompanies the CIA's "November 2017 Release of Abbottabad Compound Material" - the text "4CDCE441C37C2A1E1FAC2249A79280DF_PACMAN2.SMD" is highlighted. To the right of the Gens/GS r7 window is the ROM opened in the Cygnus hex editor. There, the text "EAGNSS CT1 94AGA-A2", starting at address 00000280, is highlighted. This will be mentioned again. This is a "No-Intro" dump, in the sense that it lines up with metadata found in No-Intro DAT files. (No-Intro is NOT a piracy group.) "No-Intro" ROMs are generally expected to be of high quality. Next to the Ares window, is the same ROM opened in the Cygnus hex editor. Highlighted is the text "SEGA GENESIS (C)T-14 1994.AUGPAC-MAN2", starting at address 00000100. Compared to the ROM discovered in the raid on Bin Laden's Abbottabad compound, this exact text was present there too... albeit starting at a different address (00000280) with every other character skipped over. ("EAGNSS CT1 94AGA-A2") So, "PAC-MAN2" became "A-A2". ("*A*-*A*2") I'm not sure what's going on here, so I am open to perspectives from those more knowledgeable on this subject.

There is evidence to suggest Pac-Man and Super Pac-Man were among the games played at Osama bin Laden's compound in Abbottabad. "superpac" in the latter's filename suggests MAME was used to emulate; "mame32.exe" was found in the files, though the CIA ensured it could no longer launch as a program.

It is simply a screenshot of the original Pac-Man; whoever took the screenshot has barely started the first round, and in fact it looks like there hasn't been any player input up to this point.
