I'm currently exploring making a story of my own and im sketching out ideas for it and trying to look for some reference images on old mechanical designs. but everything is just full of ai generated images. I have to start going to muesums to get my reference images for old stuff... for fucks sake.

The Steam game "Hardest" is being deleted, after the developer's girlfriend made them realise that its AI assets are "a disgrace to all game makers and players". (Hardest store page)

A Steam store update post, which reads as the following.

AI is bad, game will be deleted 30.1.
AI is evil, and game will be deleted 30.1.
This game will be deleted at 30.1.

I made this game during the summer in couple months and thought to use AI because in university there is so much brainwashing on students and all the tools are given for free, so I could generate unlimited images for free and so.

But I have realized the AI is not actually free, and it has a major effect on the economy and environment. Some AI companies can use this game just existing as a reason the get more investment for their AI companies, that benefit no one, but rather suck resources from the economy from hard working people.

I coded everything myself, so I can in the future make a new game with real assets if I feel like it, but the game existing in its current form is a disgrace to all game makers and players. Ethically only logical reason is to delete the game from Steam. The girl I've been dating for a month made me realize this.

As of January 15, 2026, Twitter is now actively hostile to artists.
First, on Christmas Eve 2025, Elon Musk gave users the ability to edit any image they want at the touch of a button.
Now, the updated X Terms of Service grant the platform an irrevocable license to use all your posts, Al prompts, and outputs for Al training without opt-out options.
This means every piece of art you post, every commission you share, every WIP you upload
- X now owns the right to feed it into their Al models. Forever.
You cannot revoke this permission. You cannot opt out unless you delete your account before January 15, 2026.
If you're an artist still posting your work here after this date, you are actively training the machine that's designed to replace you.
The platform has made its position clear: your work is free training data. Nothing more.
