I should clarify - because I don’t believe any pleasure should be guilty and I don’t believe we should ever feel guilty for reading stuff!! But valley is helluva problematic

Got caught by a very sophisticated publishing scam yesterday. Used an invite from a real festival, used the name of the real festival’s real organiser. Slightly odd TOV and opening question but people do use AI to write emails and some festival organisers are a bit inexperienced.

💔 Russia killed a mother and daughter who ran for cover during a missile strike on Kyiv on August 1. The deaths were reported by Silpo. Olena worked there as a project manager, and her 18-year-old daughter Kateryna was a consultant.

It’s so irritating when people in the media claim to have revealed something that you actually already reported. I try so hard not to do this - I’m really scrupulous about linking to external articles and publicly available sources. Basic media ethics innit.

Is there not enough news in the world today that we are arguing about the news from six years ago?

The russian society had no problem with their army exterminating Mariupol, committing the Bucha massacre, mass murders in Izium, & nuclear terrorism, bombing of Okhmatdyt hospital, abducting Ukrainian children, or torturing POWs... But the loss of Wildberries? That's where the line must be drawn.

Russia killed nine people in Kyiv overnight, including four children. Out of 27 ballistic missiles launched by Russia, we intercepted only one due to a shortage of air defense missiles.

I'm not sure "answers straight away" is necessarily a good thing considering the quality of her answers.
