The thing is, when a dangerous man is convicted but identifies as a woman, he cannot be let loose with the vulnerable women prisoners. Transactivists need to fight for their own arrangements.

I do believe that if TRA bureaucrats like Houry and her colleagues at CDC would let go of pseudoscientific gender ideology and stick with science- and evidence-based medicine this commotion would calm down. If they can say humans can change sex, their credibility is gone.

The logic of TRAs keep baffling me. Here, transwomen are cuddled and cooed. But if these right wing boogeymen hate transpeople and women so much, why aren’t mainly transmen targeted? 14:2 mentions. Why would they care so much about transwomen? Answer: it’s women fighting a men’s rights movement.

A lot of things upset me about TRA, but I find myself very disturbed by this. It shows quite another level of disrespect. A deeply emotionally and physically traumatising experience is used to acknowledge a group that will never understand. And transmen, who can understand, are not mentioned.
I suspect most who withdrew engage with the trans issue in equal depth to Okundaye: the word terf is mentioned, and allusion is made to the handmaid’s tale, then a gut reaction and withdrawal. I wonder what it will take to actually listen to the GCs rather than virtue signaling to identity labels.
